The male had received a head injury on a yacht to the South of Swanage. The lifeboat brought the person ashore before returning to the yacht and towed the vessel to Poole. On arrival the dog was at the base of the cliff and the safest way to recover was by lifeboat. The lifeboat brought the dog ashore at South Beach and were met by Coastguards and the owners.
